As Sales Manager, Events, you will be based at our Northants office and be expected to go wherever the business demands. Occasionally you will also be required to travel outside of the UK on business. You will receive strong local support and also support from European peers and the business management team.
The role of Sales Manager, Events forms a central part of the UK sales operation. The key responsibility is to increase market share in the UK; conducting face-to-face interaction with customers and gain new business through effective sales technique.

This is not cold calling; it is account management and business development.

Ideally you will have experience of events and exhibitions including after-sales, where you have a proven track record of pursuing and establishing sustainable business opportunities.
Experience to include;
* Executive business development discussions,
* Contract negotiation,
* Account planning, looking at both short and long term opportunities.
Your focus on creating results in a structured but flexible way will give you the ability to perform and ensure you are successful.
You will have an analytical and inquisitive nature with a real interest in people and business performance.
You will be capable and interested in approaching and building strong relationships with both new and existing customers at a senior management level through your influential and persuasive nature.
In addition to this, using your communication skills, and showing a hands-on approach together with your trustworthy character you will demonstrate professionalism and proactivity.
